Chicken Hide and Seek
Guess it has been a long time coming to finally admit the fact. Seven years next month. The free roaming Lost Rooster who showed up way back in 2017 is one of my favorite things in life. He cracks me up constantly and helps to keep the levity. Unlike the hens, he greets Boxes in Fields when we come home (much like a dog) and will converse when spoken to. Especially when Chicken! is yelled across the yard. He he comes wings flapping squawking the entire way. If I had know the free rooster was going to stay this long I would have given him a more suitable name instead of Chicken.
Now this funny little thing has taken to play hide and seek. He will sit in various locations cooing and clucking and when someone walks by he bawka-bawka-bawka’s at them. The new favorite spot is the native bush in front of the Kid Box. Chicken has hidden there so many times he has created a perfect rooster side hidey hole.
